No Way’ Europe Will Hold Itself Together. Head-wound of the beast of revelation 13?

My Take:

Revelation 13: 3-4. 3. One of its heads seemed to have a mortal wound, but its mortal wound was healed, and the whole earth marveled as they followed the beast. 4. And they worshiped the dragon, for he had given his authority to the beast, and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who can fight against it?”

Alot of conservative scholars believe that the 7 headed 10 horned beast is the revived Roman Empire ( ie The EU ). Now while I agree that the Roman Empire was the biggest and encompassed most of the “known” world I do not believe that the coming One World Socialist Government will be just a revived Rome (EU). I believe that that 7 heads are 7 continents, the 10 horns are 10 economic zones and the 10 crowns are 10 leaders of those regions. I believe that the beast is a political government order to which the Anti Christ will used to come to power. The Roman Empire might be the inspiration for one believing the beast is the EU but it wont stop there, this thing has to be global in nature.

I believe that this debt crisis in Europe could be the head wound spoken of by John in Revelation 13:3-4. Europe is on the edge of the abyss, no pun intended, they have been dealing with the debt crisis for the last 2 years now. Every time they come up with a plan yet another crisis erupts and they have to scrabble to create a new deal to calm the markets. This crisis ( head-wound) will lead to a more centralized power in Europe to be able to better deal with crisis’ such as these in the future. This means countries giving up even more sovereignty to the EU and give power to a centralized governing body. This is a very dangerous plan for the EU member states, something that if brought to the people for a vote; they would vote it down handedly. 

The coordinated effort by the Federal reserve and the worlds central banks coming to the rescue of Europe last week by making it easier for banks in Europe to get cheap dollars via swaps, just shows how interconnected the global markets really are. It also shows to what lengths the global financial markets would go to to stave off a second global recession. My question is, if everyone is pouring everything into the EU to save it from collapse; who is going to save any other country that might be on verge of collapse, like China? 

A lot of people aren’t talking about it but China is in the middle of a very tricky situation right now with their housing market. Their housing bubble is about to burst and if that happens then the world would feel that impact, while still trying to recover from the US housing market bursting. Keep an eye on China next year. While everyone will be celebrating the economic triumph in saving the Euro, saying who is like this beast (global community worked, global unity saved a disaster!), China will start to go down a crisis of their own. 

One cant argue that we are living in very interesting times and if you follow bible prophecy you know that the time is short indeed. The sands of the hourglass are down to only a few grains left before the the time of the rapture and then the tribulation, that is if you believe in the per-tribulation view of the rapture. There are other views as well that the Church will go through the tribulation before the rapture but that is topic for another time.
